A Printmaking Memoir
Embark on an extraordinary artistic journey with 'A Printmaking Era.' In the summer of 2020, amid a global lockdown, Constantine.. stumbled into a world of printmaking. With minimal equipment and basic materials, he harnessed a profound creative energy that couldn't be contained. What ensued was a prolific series of prints, defying the constraints of the pandemic. These prints found their first audience in 'A Sense of Magi,' a collaborative art show in October 2020.
When another lockdown hit in March 2021, Constantine.. was undeterred. In a bold move, he took his artwork to the heart of Edinburgh's residential spaces. 'Constantine..’s Stairwell Project' saw A3-sized frames, clipped onto walls with Velcro, transform ordinary stairwells into extraordinary art spaces. The community embraced this unconventional approach, and the project received recognition in 'Snack Magazine's Issue 26.'
The journey continued, with more prints created in the new year. In July 2021, 'There we were, now Here we are' showcased this evolving body of work in a solo art exhibition. 'A Printmaking Era' is more than an art book; it's a testament to the unyielding spirit of artistic expression and the power of creativity to transcend even the most challenging of times.
